One Clipper, two ways to capture

Catch the moment.
Record the story.

Catch

Create freely, then keep the moment that just happened. Clipper’s existing rolling capture saves the recent audio or camera footage you choose.

Record

Start a deliberate take with your screen, camera, microphone, and computer audio. The Mac prototype is being developed separately; the two modes are not yet combined in one app.

01 · The Record prototype

One take. The whole story.

The working local Record prototype brings the essentials together. Device compatibility and long-session reliability are still being tested.

01

Pick your sources

Choose a screen or window, a camera, and a microphone. Include computer audio for demos, playback, and commentary.

02

Keep the originals

Screen, camera, and audio sources stay in a local project on your Mac. The prototype needs no account and uploads no recordings.

03

Bring it together

Export a 1080p MP4 with the screen above and your camera below. Keep your face in view without covering what you’re explaining.

02 · What’s next

Capture first.
Then make the cut.

We’re starting small and building toward a recorder with a useful editor inside it.

  1. Testing now

    A recording you can trust

Real cameras and microphones, longer sessions, audio sync, interrupted recordings, and moving projects between Macs.

  2. Planned

    Cuts and manual zooms

Trim the ends, remove a section, and zoom into the part of the screen that matters. These editing tools are not in the current prototype.

  3. Later

    Windows, too

Record starts on Mac. Windows support is planned later; the Mac prototype does not run on Windows.

Early days, clear expectations

Built locally. Getting ready to travel.

Record for Mac is in development for macOS 15+. We’re testing recording reliability and installation before opening downloads.

Screen, camera, and microphone access require your permission. Saved projects and exports remain on your computer until you choose to move or share them.
