Terms for
creating with Yuzu Patch.

These terms set the ground rules for using Yuzu Patch web services, including MIDI Visualizer and Clipper.

Effective September 7, 2026

The short version

Play, explore, and create. Don’t misuse the Service, interfere with other people, or treat an experimental creative tool as guaranteed or error-free.

01

Accepting these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Yuzu Patch website, MIDI Visualizer and Clipper web applications, and related services that link to these Terms (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

02

Eligibility and accounts

Some parts of the Service, including Clipper Web, do not require an account. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf. If you use an account-based feature, you are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining control of the Google account you use to sign in.

03

Using Yuzu Patch experiences

Yuzu Patch grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for lawful personal and creative purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may connect compatible MIDI hardware, use supported computer-key input, import supported music files, capture your own performances, and use the resulting visuals for your own creative work, unless a particular feature says otherwise.

In Clipper Web, you may use supported microphones, cameras, audio interfaces, and MIDI devices to capture, preview, trim, download, and delete your own clips. In-tab clips are temporary; download any clip you want to keep.

04

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm another person.
  • Attempt to bypass access controls, probe security, or access another user’s account or data.
  • Interfere with, overload, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Upload or submit content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Reverse engineer or redistribute the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
05

Your music, files, and feedback

You keep your rights in music, files, performances, and other material you bring to the Service. You are responsible for having the rights needed to use that material.

You are responsible for content you capture and for obtaining any permission required from people whose image or voice you record.

If you voluntarily send ideas or feedback, you allow Yuzu Patch to use, adapt, and incorporate that feedback without restriction or payment to improve the Service. This does not transfer ownership of your underlying music or performance.

06

Yuzu Patch materials

The Service—including its software, scenes, artwork, design, sounds supplied by Yuzu Patch, trademarks, and written content—is owned by Yuzu Patch or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service or permission to use Yuzu Patch branding as your own.

07

Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Google, Supabase, Vercel, browser vendors, and MIDI, camera, microphone, and audio-interface manufacturers. Their products and terms are outside Yuzu Patch’s control. Third-party links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

08

Changes, availability, and termination

The Service is evolving. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, scenes, access methods, or the Service itself. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with law.

09

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Yuzu Patch disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee compatibility with every browser, MIDI device, microphone, camera, audio interface, operating system, imported file, or media format. Browser or device limits may interrupt capture or cause the loss of an in-tab clip.

10

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yuzu Patch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or creative work arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, Yuzu Patch’s total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the Service during the preceding twelve months or US $50.

11

General terms

If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; Yuzu Patch may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, or sale of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement concerning the Service.

12

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when legally required. For questions about these Terms, use the “Share feedback” form inside MIDI Visualizer and begin your message with “Terms question.”
