- Play immediately with the on-screen piano or QWERTY keys, or connect a MIDI keyboard in desktop Chrome or Edge.
- Open the searchable Instrument picker and choose a sound. A free sign-in unlocks instrument changes and saves your preference.
- Keep playing, switch visual worlds, or record the idea with its musical context.
The selected instrument stays with you as you move between visual maps, so comparing a piano, synth, string section, or horn takes seconds.

Online instrument questions
Do I need a MIDI keyboard?
No. You can play with QWERTY keys or the on-screen touch piano. A MIDI keyboard adds velocity, sustain, and a familiar playing surface.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Yuzu Patch runs in the browser. Open it, choose how you want to play, and start with the Grand Piano.
Is the instrument library free?
Yes. The browser experience is free. You can play as a guest, and a free sign-in unlocks instrument changes and saved preferences.
Can I use the sounds with reactive visuals?
Yes. Your selected instrument continues playing while you switch between Piano Roll, Galaxy, Lantern Hill, Neon, Ink, Light Cathedral, and the other visual worlds.
Which browsers support hardware MIDI?
Hardware Web MIDI works in desktop Chrome and Edge. QWERTY and touch input let you play without Web MIDI hardware.
